Concorde Anecdotes

The response to our website has been enormous with many delightful stories and anecdotes flowing in. We also have been inundated with questions from members asking about their particular flights and crews. We hope that we have been able to answer all of these different questions satisfactorily. Keep them coming! We intend to publish as many stories as we can. Do you have one you would like to share and appear on the website? Here is a sample anecdote:

An interesting anecdote from one our Captains, Jock Lowe. The Queen Mother, after one of her earlier flights on Concorde mentioned to our Captain Jock Lowe that whenever she heard Concorde approaching her residence, Clarence House in London, she would go out onto the balcony and wave. He replied that from now on when he flew Concorde over Central London he would flash the aircraft headlights in salute. This then became a tradition for all the Concorde Captains to do this.
